One hack that will skyrocket your career growth
The premise: Undergo unique experiences, and get good at something with no playbook
If any of your favorite mentors would have given you a tip it should have been this: you get paid when you work on the hard stuff. You are also more fulfilled then because you are able to solve real problems. So a win-win for you cause you are happy and free.
How to apply this:
1. Take high upside bets others won’t take:
There are a lot of challenging things that others won’t do. If you follow what others do, you don’t realize your potential. again this might sound cliche but it is true: you just follow to achieve mediocrity. If you wanna have exponential advancements in your career then you need to do stuff, take bets, experience stuff that others would hesitate for.
Keep in mind: that all of this needs to be mindful and wise. don’t just bet on anything: bet based on your gut feeling and your research.
2. Figure out what’s hard to reverse engineer:
And reverse engineer it. Do it, put in the work required, and help the world.
3. Pick something that isn’t big now, but will be in the future:
Look at trends. Look at all the new stuff that is being put out into the world every day. Talk to your smartest friends. And bet on this thing.
4. Quadruple down on what feels like play to you but looks like work to others:
Work on what truly interests you, what you are passionate about and trust that it will work out, cause it will.
